Students Learn About Business Of Farming, Soybeans

Morgan Nieser, Alyssa Orr and Rylee Miller, all sixth-graders at Lakewood Intermediate school, make use of a hula hoop to compute the variety of soybeans growing in the field. The students were getting involved in an educational program at Devine Farms in Hebron developed to teach kids about agriculture, exactly what it suggests for the economy and the many jobs a farmer needs to do to keep the farm running.
