RMI President Christopher J. Loeak and First Lady Lieom Anono Loeak will be departing to Honolulu, Hawaii today Wednesday, February 1st, 2012. President Loeak and First Lady will be accompanied by Minister in Assistance Tony de Brum and presidential staffers.
President Loeak and delegation are expected to meet with Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie to discuss issues relating to Compact Impact and to reaffirm the RMI government's commitment towards a mutually beneficial outcome to the significant issues. The President is also anticipated to meet with the Marshallese Community residing in the State of Hawaii, and other related activities.
