Majuro, Marshall Islands-President Jurelang Zedkaia, in an instrument of appointment dated January 2011, formalized the appointment of Mr. Junior Patrick as the Auditor General of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Mr. Patrick takes over the post of Auditor General following the death of the late Mrs. Jean Marie Tonyokwe.
In the second half of the 22nd Constitutional Regular Session, the Nitijela passed Resolution 72 on the appointment of Mr. Patrick. This appointment follows other constitutional posts which the Zedkaia Government has filled since taking office in late 2009. Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the Manukau Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand and has worked at Finance since 2005.
