President Zedkaia to receive Letter of Credence from newly designated Ambassador George T.K. Li to the Republic of the Marshall Islands

President Jurelang Zedkaia will be accepting the Letter of Credence from the new Republic of China (Taiwan) Ambassador George T.K. Li at the Presentation of Credential Ceremony on September 8 at 9:30 in the Cabinet Conference Room of ICC. H.E. Ambassador Li will be replacing Bruce J.D. Linghu, who has served as the former ROC (Taiwan) Ambassador to the Marshall Islands since March 2007.

H.E. Ambassador Li has an M.A. in Public Administration from the National Chengchi University. Previously, he was employed as the Deputy Representative for the Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Indonesia. He arrives at the Amata Kabua International Airport on Tuesday September 7, and will be accompanied by his wife, Ms. Mau Je-Ru, and his son, Mr. Yung-Hsin Li.

According to Counselor of the Embassy of ROC Taiwan Herbert Hsu, former Ambassador Linghu was known for his accomplishments in conducting a number of projects in the fields of health, infrastructure, and cultural exchange. He will be continuing on to his next post as the Director General of the Department of North American Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Zedkaia will be hosting a farewell dinner for Ambassador Linghu on August 31 at the Long Island Restaurant.
