Majuro, Marshall Islands
President Zedkaia and delegation departed Majuro, Marshall Islands on May 10, for Washington, D.C. The President will be meeting with several Congress and Senate members to discuss various issues such as Senate Bill S.2941 on the Supplemental Nuclear Compensation Act of 2010.
A hearing is scheduled for May 19, 2010. President Zedkaia has delegated Minister John silk to speak on behalf of the Government.
Other issues such as the MUORA, Land Use Agreement, the five year review of the Compact, and Climate Change will be tabled for related meetings. After Washington D.C. President plans to visit Arkansas and California to meet with the Marshallese community.
