The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) wishes to inform the general public of the Republic of the Marshall Islands that a flag-raising ceremony will be held in front of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Embassy on the morning of 10:00 a.m. (Saturday), October 10th, 2009, to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
To echo the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Government’s effort to expedite the relief work and to dedicate the greatest strength possible to the people suffering from typhoon “Morakot” that took place in Taiwan in early August, the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan), has cancelled all large banquet functions celebrating “Double Ten” and will donate the relevant budget serving that purpose to the ongoing relief work.
The Embassy of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) would like to take this opportunity to once again express gratitude for the kind assistance and condolences extended by both the international community and the people and the government of the Marshall Islands. Therefore, the scheduled flag-raising ceremony on October 10th is open to the public and the Embassy welcomes all to participate.
Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan),
