Ambassador Bruce J. D. Linghu of the Republic of China (Taiwan) presented a check in the amount of SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND US DOLLARS (US$720,000.00) to Kino Kabua, Secretary of Ministry of Foreign affairs and Hon. Jack Ading, Minister of Finance at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 10, 2008 at 14:00 PM.
The said amount is the last remaining of the 2008 Annual Grant of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the RMI Government. As a result of the ongoing challenge of international financial and high fuel cost crisis, which affect the RMI and ROC (Taiwan) as well, the People and Government of the ROC (Taiwan) along with its Embassy in Majuro sincerely wish above-mentioned Grant could contribute to the improvement of the social and economic welfare of Marshallese People and Government.
