Ambassador Bruce J. D. Linghu of the Republic of China (Taiwan) presented a check in the amount of TWO MILLION FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT US DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-NINE CENTS (US$2,481,728.89) to Hon. Tony deBrum, Minister of Foreign affairs and Hon. Jack Ading, Minister of Finance at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM.
The said amount is a grant of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the RMI Government for the use of the following projects:
(1) RMI/USP Project (2008/01)---------------------------------------------US$40,000.00
(2) KAJUR Subsidy (2008/06)---------------------------------------------US$350,000.00
(3) Women’s Forum (2008/10)---------------------------------------------US$28,967.00
(4) Solid Waste Management (2008/11)----------------------------------US$325,000.00
(5) Outer Islands Airfield Project (2008/12)------------------------------US$500,000.00
(6) Jaluit Power Plant Subsidy (2008/13)---------------------------------US$100,000.00
(7) Wotje Power Plant Subsidy (2008/14)--------------------------------US$195,000.00
(8) MoE-IMF Matching (2008/15)-----------------------------------------US$296,381.00
(9) MoH-IMF Matching (2008/16)-----------------------------------------US$296,380.00
(10) MIDB Rural Dev. Program (2008/20)-------------------------------US$250,000.00
(11) Micronesian Legal Services (2008/22)------------------------------US$100,000.00
