Ambassador Bruce J. D. Linghu of the Republic of China (Taiwan) presented a check in the amount of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED NINETY-SIX US DOLLARS AND FORTY-EIGHT CENTS (US$252,696.48) to Hon. Tony deBrum, Minister of Foreign affairs and Hon. Jack Ading, Minister of Finance at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM.
The said amount is a grant of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the RMI Government for the use of the following projects:
(1) Government Equipments/Furniture(2007/02)------US$1,620.57
(2) Loan Repayments (2007/03)--------------------------US$251.00
(3) PSC-Government Housing (2007/05)-------------US$58,699.00
(4) Office Renovation (2007/09)--------------------------US$712.00
(5) Outer Islands Development Fund(2007/10)-----US$116,747.91
(6) Majuro Jail Facility (2007/24)----------------------US$71,366.00
(7) Ship Repairs (2007/25)------------------------------US$3,300.00
