CMI Groundbreaking, Dedication, and 15th Foundation Day
April 11, 2008

Majuro, MH April 11, 2008 – Prior to the Official Foundation Ceremony, the College of the Marshall Islands held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Classroom Block 2 followed by the dedication of the new Tolemour Building, Science and Nursing Building. The Tolemour Building is a two-story complex building which houses state of the art laboratories, workstations, equipments, and offices, and will be available to students and Health and Science professionals alike. The Tolemour Building was build by Anil Construction. Carlos Dominick representing Anil Construction turned over the key to Wilson G. Hess, CMI President to sign off on the contract.

Immediately after the groundbreaking and dedication, the Official 15th Foundation Day began in front of the College of the Marshall Islands campus. Government Officials, Diplomatic Corp, students, onlookers crowded the area to join in the celebration. Acting President Christopher Loeak was invited to say few words on behalf of the President and Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
