Indiana Finance Director Talks Toll Debate

While officials are still wishing to address issues raised about Ohio River Bridges Project tolling, the director of the Indiana Finance Authority stated debt payments cant be changed and it needs to move swiftly on completing tolling decisions.

When asked about the possibility of delaying tolls till the entire $2.3 billion task is completed in December 2016, Kendra York– who sits on the board managing the bridges job– acknowledged that toll delays are being considered however cautioned Wednesday after the bridges project meeting about unintentional effects.

We wouldnt really want to do anything that would have an unfavorable economic effect, York stated.

York repeated exactly what she told The Courier-Journal in an e-mail last week– that she plans to fulfill soon with One Southern Indiana President Wendy Dant Chesser about the companies idea of pressing back the toll collection date and other issues Chesser raised on behalf of various companyentrepreneur in Clark and Floyd counties.
